    The engine leak detector is mainly used to measure the continuous flow of gas leaking from the gaps in the piston, piston rings, supercharger bearing gaps, and other channels. These gases enter the crankcase and vent out through the crankcase breather.

    • Experiments show that when the engine's leakage is higher than average, the following problems may occur:
    • Poor quality of cylinder surface machining
    • Piston, piston rings, and piston ring grooves are substandard
    • Cylinder deformation and incorrect gasket assembly
    • In engine testing, changes in leakage can provide timely information about the engine's operating condition.

    In the process of engine development, when conducting engine durability tests, leakage measurement experiments can shorten the overall test time and prevent serious problems by early detection of engine changes.

    Our company's professionally produced engine leak detectors are characterized by stable performance, reliable measurement, and accurate data display. They remain accurate even when other components are present in the engine's blow-by gas.

     

    SLQY-4 series engine leak detectors have the following features:

    • All gas passages are made of stainless steel
    • Uses a specially designed high-precision, large-range ratio (1:50) V-cone flow meter to measure leakage
    • Uses an intelligent multi-functional LCD display instrument to measure and display data. The display instrument integrates display, processing, recording, accumulation, alarm, and output functions, and can collect, save, and analyze various important data.
    • The system is equipped with an oil-gas separator at the air intake end of the engine leakage measurement to ensure that water, oil, diesel, etc., in the engine leakage will not interfere with the accuracy of the system measurement, and the oil-gas separator is easy to maintain.
    • The measuring components have a heating function, heating temperature ≥85℃, preheating time ≤12 minutes. The heated parts use heat insulation design, and the temperature after heat insulation is ≤40℃ (optional).
    • System sampling frequency ≥50Hz, the system has a filtering function, which can be set in the software.
    • It can correct the zero point and linear coefficient of the flow rate according to the actual calibration data, and can also use a multi-point method for correction. It can use a host computer to correct multi-point data.
    • Automatic zeroing when the system starts

     

    Basic Parameters

    The SLQY-4 leak detector is mainly composed of three components.

    (1) V-cone flow sensor (range can be optional, see range specification table)

    (2) Secondary instrument

    (3) Pressure regulator

    The leaked gas from the engine crankcase first enters the oil-water separator, then after pressure stabilization, it flows through the flow sensor. The signal detected by the flow sensor is input to the secondary instrument for adjustment, amplification, and processing, and then the leakage flow rate is displayed.

    1. Leakage measurement:

    • The sensor uses a Yokogawa micro-differential pressure transmitter
    • Range ratio not less than 1:50
    • System sampling frequency ≥50HZ
    • Measurement accuracy: ≤±0.5%F.S
    • Repeatability: ≤±0.25%F.S
    • Linearity: ≤±1%F.S
    • Response time: ≤1s
    • Measurement stability: ≤±1%F.S
    • The instrument can automatically correct the zero point of the flow rate and has a multi-point linearization table to correct the parameters in segments.
    • The instrument has a 4-20mA or 0-10V analog output interface, and the signal is isolated from the ground.
    • Communication interface: RS232 or CAN, baud rate 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200b/s optional
    • The instrument has an alarm protection function and can output an alarm by setting parameter limit values.

    2. Temperature measurement (optional)

    • Sensor uses platinum resistance Pt100
    • Range: -20℃-200℃
    • Measurement accuracy: ≤±0.3%F.S
    • Control accuracy: ±0.5℃
    • It takes less than 10 minutes for the pressure regulator to heat up from room temperature to 85℃.
